Configuring Amazon RDS as the Oracle SOA Suite Database
July 07, 2016
Rubicon Red Architect, Fabio Douek, has been very busy, over recent months, testing and providing feedback to AWS, supporting efforts to certify Oracle Repository Creation Utility (RCU) for Amazon RDS. The AWS team have been phenomenal to work with, and ultimately have supported a recent go-live for our first customer, running Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1 on AWS RDS.
In addition, we are proud to announce that our latest MyST release, MyST 3.8.2, released on 15th June, 2016, is fully integrated and certified against AWS RDS. Rubicon Red MyST provides an automated process for the installation, configuration, build and deployment of Oracle Middleware, transforming a resource intensive and often highly error prone process into one which is automated, predictable and low risk. Take the time to read Fabio's comprehensive Blog - he explains (i) the benefits of using RDS as the Oracle Fusion Middleware data repository; (ii) RDS database compatibility with Oracle RCU; (iii) RDS compatibility with Fusion Middleware components; (iv) how to create an HA Oracle RDS instance from scratch using the AWS Console; and (v) how to run Oracle RCU against AWS RDS.
We hope you find Fabio's blog as useful as we have!
Keep an eye open for his next blog installment.
