MyST 2.4.1 Released – Supports automated install of AIA Foundation Pack

Rubicon Red are pleased to announce the release of version 2.4.1 of MyST, the leading delivery automation tool for Oracle Fusion Middleware and Applications. The MyST platform combines the automated Install and Configuration of the Oracle Fusion Middleware Platform, with the automated Build, Deployment and Configuration of code artefacts to the FMW platform across all phases of the software development life-cycle, reducing the cost of FMW application development, accelerating application time to market and bridging the gap between Development and Operations.
The latest release provides some key enhancements, including support for fully automated provisioning of the Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack.
The AIA Foundation Pack has an unenviable reputation for being difficult to install; for a number of reasons. First, prior to installing the Foundation Pack a clean, correctly configured and patched instance of a SOA Domain needs to be installed and correctly started. Secondly, the actual process of running the AIA Foundation Pack Installer, can be quite manual, requiring multiple re-starts of the SOA Server.
As a result, for someone not familiar with the above process, its too easy to make one simple mis-step or error that results in the install failing. Often the simplest way to fix the error, is to tear down the SOA Domain and re-build from scratch and then re-install the AIA Foundation Pack; which can be a highly time consuming and frustrating process with each iteration taking many days.
MyST dramatically improves this, by completely automating the process; MyST allows you at the touch of a button, to provision a clean Oracle SOA Domain from scratch, and install and configure the Oracle AIA Foundation Pack. The entire process typically takes less than 2 hours and requires no human involvement.
